[Netherlands] – Radboud Summer School
Warm greetings from Radboud University, Netherlands!
Radboud University is a public university with a strong focus on research located in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. The university bears the name of Saint Radboud, a 9th century Dutch bishop who was known for his intellect and support of the underprivileged.
Radboud Summer School is a relatively young, but already renowned European academic event. Ever since the start in 2014 the summer school has grown quite substantially. In the summer of 2019 more than 850 students, researchers and professionals from 75 countries joined us.
Our short and intensive summer courses will challenge and inspire you. Our personal style of teaching offers you plenty of opportunity to work closely with leading researchers and excellent teachers. The group size of our courses is usually not larger than 25 participants which enables you to get to know each other well and have close contact with the course leaders and lecturers.
Most courses are one-week-courses; perfect to add to your summer holiday plans without having to give up your entire holiday. During the day, you will submerge yourself fulltime in lectures, group work, and sometimes even field trips – depending on the course programme.
For 2021 Radboud Summer School have over 50 online and on-campus courses on offer: course overview. The 2021 programme will be safe, flexible, and conform to the Covid-19 regulations.
The fees vary per course, you need to go to the course page to learn more about the fee and discounts for your course. To find your course page, go to the course overview and click on the course title. You will then go to the course page. Since Universitas Gadjah Mada is one Radboud Summer School partner universities, Radboud Summer School offer students 25% discount on the course fee if students apply before the 1st of March 2021.
The course fee does not include accommodation, dinner, insurance and other costs.

Eligibility
- Undergraduate Students (S1) or Postgraduate Students (s2)
- Enrolled in Universitas Gadjah Mada during the program
- Be proficient in English. Non-native English speakers must have a score of at least IELTS 6.0, B2, TOEFL 550 or equivalent)

- A recommendation letter from an academic supervisor
- Letter of Enrollment from Faculty
- Letter of Nomination from Faculty (addressed to the Head of Office of International Affairs UGM)
- English Language Proficiency Certificate
- Copy of passport photo identification page
- Passport picture
- Confirmation Letter of Participation (download)
Application Procedure
- Submit the aforementioned documents to UGM International Exposure Application Form: http://ugm.id/IntExposureApplication and no later than March 1st, 2021.
- OIA staff will evaluate your application. Once you are selected as Nominated Applicants, OIA will confirm your official nomination to Radboud Summer School and you may proceed to the online application

IMPORTANT NOTES:
- In the meantime, the students are required to keep the hard file of all documents until further notice by the Office of International Affairs.
- In case the faculty could not provide the letter of enrollment and nomination during this period, the official nomination through email from the faculty is acceptable. The official nomination could be delivered to head-oia@ugm.ac.id (cc to scholarship@ugm.ac.id)
- Application of outgoing mobility for spring/even semester in AY 2020/2021 will be processed but the implementation/execution will carefully consider the latest development of COVID-19 and government’s regulation
