Warm greetings from National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan!

National Tsing Hua University (NTHU) was established in Beijing in 1911 as “Tsing Hua Academy.” In 1956, National Tsing Hua University was re-established at its present location in Hsinchu, Taiwan. Since its relocation, NTHU has developed into a comprehensive research university offering a full range of degree programs in science, technology, engineering, humanities, social sciences, and management. NTHU consistently ranks as one of the premier universities in East Asia and is widely recognized as a leading incubator for future leaders.

We are pleased to inform you that the application for 2021 NTHU Global Summer School (GSS) is now open for Universitas Gadjah Mada students.

Program Information

2021 NTHU GSS offers 6 courses in the fields of Life science, Chemical Engineering, Globalization Management, Integrated Circuit Processing, Art and Urban Culture of Taiwan, Administration Management.

Important Dates:

  • Application Deadline: May 14th, 2021
  • Program Dates: July 16th – August 1st, 2021

Program Options:

– Program A 

  • In-class Lectures
  • Culture Tours (National Palace Museum and Sun Moon Lake)

– Program B

  • In-class Lectures
  • Experiencing Taiwan Course (contains campus tour, field trips, film making course, craftsmanship lesson, institution visits and savoring traditional taiwanese cuisine)
  • Culture Tours (National Palace Museum and Sun Moon Lake)

Fee Discounts:

– Discounted price of US$2,000 for students from partner universities, including UGM.

– Group discounts

  • 2 students, each receives a US$50 discount.
  • 3 students, each receives a US$80 discount.
  • 4 students and above, each receives a US$100 discount.

Online Program

You may choose to take online courses from the program if you are unable to participate in physical courses due to the COVID-19 pandemic and border control. With this option, you can receive a discounted fee of US$1,000. No group discounts for this option.

  3. Official Academic Transcript record (English version)
  4. Letter of Enrollment from Faculty
  5. Letter of Nomination from Faculty (addressed to the Head of Office of International Affairs UGM)**
  6. English Language Proficiency Certificate
  7. Copy of passport photo identification page
  8. Passport picture
  9. All the document listed as required on the Online Application page

Application Procedure

  1. Submit your online application and the required documents to the Application Form provided by 2021 NTHU GSS program no later than May 14th, 2021.
  2. After the online application, submit your application to UGM International Exposure Application Form: http://ugm.id/IntExposureApplication for internal review and confirmation on your official nomination to the program.
  3. The FINAL decision from 2021 NTHU GSS program.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • In the meantime, the students are required to keep the hard file of all documents until further notice by the Office of International Affairs.
  • In case the faculty could not provide the letter of enrollment and nomination during this period, the official nomination through email from the faculty is acceptable. The official nomination could be delivered to head-oia@ugm.ac.id (cc to scholarship@ugm.ac.id).

We will have two sessions of activities – the morning session is outbound with several team games outdoors, followed by an afternoon session after lunch of cultural activities.

Greeting from Ritsumeikan University, Japan!

 

Ritsumeikan have started recruiting process for overseas applicants who wish to study at one of our graduate schools from September 2023 with the assistance of Japanese Government funded scholarship.

 

This scholarship, which covers the admission fee, tuition fees, provides a monthly stipend and roundtrip tickets to/from Japan, is offered by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (acronym “MEXT” (in Japanese, “Monbukagakusho”)), and will be made available to students whose applications are approved by MEXT based on a recommendation made by Ritsumeikan University.
