Flinders University Short Course Program in Yogyakarta 2018

The Flinders University Short Course Program in Yogyakarta is organized by Global Engagement Office, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences UGM, held on 5 -9 February 2018 in collaboration with Flinders University Australia. It is designed for Flinders University students to deepen their understanding about Indonesia as one of the prominent countries for Australia. Global Engagement Office has prepared several exciting programs such as lectures on Indonesian politics, economy, social and culture, practicing Javanese traditional sport, Institutional Visit to Provincial Parliament of Yogyakarta, Headquarters of Special Province of Yogyakarta, Polda DIY and Pura Pakualaman. Hopefully, by learning from Indonesian professors, exploring Indonesian culture and heritage, and directly interacting with the local people, the participants can become more enthusiastic and eager to learn further about Indonesia. More importantly, this program could open larger opportunities for Australian and Indonesian students to exchange their knowledge and culture as well as become a stepping stone to increase people-to-people understanding between Indonesia and Australia.

Global Engagement Office of FISIPOL UGM and Flinders University is now inviting students from Universitas Gadjah Mada to enroll in this joint Short Course Program. As stated above, the activities held throughout the program include lectures, institutional visits, study tours, and many more. At the end of the program, each student will receive a certificate as a token of participation.

Interested students can join the program by paying a contribution of IDR 375.000 to cover for the field visits and closing dinner. Program fees are waived.

General requirements:
– Student of Universitas Gadjah Mada (preferably 3rd – 9th Semester)
– Fluent in English (written and oral)

[Japan] Ritsumeikan University – Exchange Program 2017

Ritsumeikan University’s “International PBL Program in ASEAN Countries” is an education program focusing on “international problem/project-based learning” which looks to provide necessary “multi-dimensional thinking skills” (technical thinking, business thinking, system design thinking) by accepting students from a variety of countries and regions to work collectively to solve policy and social issues such as Asian welfare, urban planning and development which ASEAN countries have been facing.

This program has been created on the basis of academic collaboration with partner institutions and Ritsumeikan University as one of the “FY2013 Inter-University Exchange Project” by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (MEXT) to promote student exchange with partner institutions in ASEAN Countries under AIMS program (ASEAN International Mobility for Students program).

[Japan] Sophia University – Exchange Program Spring 2018

Sophia University has more than 200 partner institutions worldwide and receives exchange students based on the student exchange agreements. Every year, more than 300 exchange students study at Sophia. Participating exchange students pay tuition to their home institution for the period of their stay at Sophia. G-STEP is a two-week program open during summer and winter vacations. And this summer, Gachon University is providing exclusively Beauty Design class (nail art) for students.
