Global Engagement Office FISIPOL UGM is currently seeking for a staff for the following position as
“International Cooperation and Student Affairs”

Requirements:
– Available for Full Time
– S-1 graduate, from a FISIPOL major
– Fluent in English and preferably another foreign language
– Work/internship experience is preferred, but not required
– Capable of working as a team
– Good interpersonal skills
– Willing to sign a contract until December 2017

Selected candidate(s) will receive a one-month training and, upon appointment, will be entitled to a monthly salary of UMR plus.

CCUC Week #3: Thailand Course

On March 10th, 2016 The third meeting of Cross Cultural Understanding Club’s (CCUC) theme is all about Thailand culture. One of FISIPOL’s international students, Thanaphong Saksereephong, from Chiang Mai University shared about A-to-Z Thailand such as simple traditional dance, food, language, even politic. This session aims to introduce FISIPOL students about ASEAN Member State’s culture in order to support ASEAN Community. And for international students in FISIPOL, we would shared them about ASEAN spirit.

Bring Fisipol UGM to the world and bring the world to Fisipol UGM

Along with the enactment of ASEAN Economic Community this year, it is essential for students and professional staffs to be more aware about the importance of international exposure to improve their capacity in facing regional and global tight competition. To embrace this challenge and expand the opportunity, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) has built partnership with several universities, research centers, and NGOs all around the world. But unfortunately, there is a main barrier for students or staffs to involve in this process which is the difficulty to get the information needed. As the results, there are a lot of missed opportunities that make the main goal of the internationalization process was not fulfilled.

CCUC Week #1: Welcome to FISIPOL

Cross Cultural Understanding Club (CCUC) is a program that was designed by the Global Engagement Office (GEO) of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Gadjah Mada University. The purpose of this program is to engage the international students with the local students of the university in many aspects, mainly in cultural exchange and understanding aspect. This feature of interchanging cultures is one of the highlights of the Global Engagement Office’s agenda because it is seen as one of the office’s forms of hospitality for the newcomer international students, as well as to show the involvement of the faculty in the international level of cooperation.

Cross Cultural Understanding Program 2015

Cross Cultural Understanding Club (CCUC) is one of the extracurricular programs initiated by Global Engagement Office (GEO) Fisipol UGM which aims to facilitate the cultural exchange activities among international and local students in Fisipol UGM. Cultural exchange is an important aspect for GEO because it is a part of faculty internationalization program as well as a form of hospitality for international students who study in Fisipol UGM. The program is held every semester with regular weekly meeting and different activity in each meeting. All activities in CCUC are designed not only to introduce Indonesian cultures to international students, but also to give opportunity for Indonesian students to learn other countries’ cultures and develop their English skill.
