[FLINDERS UNIVERSITY SHORT COURSE PROGRAM]
The Flinders University Short Course Program in Yogyakarta is organized by Global Engagement Office, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences UGM, held on 5 -9 February 2018 in collaboration with Flinders University Australia. It is designed for Flinders University students to deepen their understanding about Indonesia as one of the prominent countries for Australia. Global Engagement Office has prepared several exciting programs such as lectures on Indonesian politics, economy, social and culture, practicing Javanese traditional sport, Institutional Visit to Provincial Parliament of Yogyakarta, Headquarters of Special Province of Yogyakarta, Polda DIY and Pura Pakualaman. Hopefully, by learning from Indonesian professors, exploring Indonesian culture and heritage, and directly interacting with the local people, the participants can become more enthusiastic and eager to learn further about Indonesia. More importantly, this program could open larger opportunities for Australian and Indonesian students to exchange their knowledge and culture as well as become a stepping stone to increase people-to-people understanding between Indonesia and Australia.
Global Engagement Office of FISIPOL UGM and Flinders University is now inviting students from Universitas Gadjah Mada to enroll in this joint Short Course Program. As stated above, the activities held throughout the program include lectures, institutional visits, study tours, and many more. At the end of the program, each student will receive a certificate as a token of participation.
Interested students can join the program by paying a contribution of IDR 375.000 to cover for the field visits and closing dinner. Program fees are waived.
